A look ahead...

Our LWML Minnesota North District convention this past June was a wonderful time to refresh our spiritual life, renew friendships and remember the purpose of the LWML. As we gathered with fellow LWML members, we worked on several servant events like eyeglass covers, bracelets for M.O.S.T. ministries and making "plarn" for plastic sleep mats. The women enjoyed working together and visiting while making projects to help others. During the convention we had an amazing ingathering for a local woman's shelter! We also set a goal of $147,000.00 to fund various mission grants proposed by our members. This is what we do. This is our mission; to help others and proclaim Jesus to everyone, everywhere.

As we go forward, there are many more opportunities for our groups to support ministries found right here in the Minnesota North District. There are local food shelves, women's shelters, children's shelters, organizations assisting foster children, and let's not forget our Lutheran schools and Seminaries we should support. These are just a few of the ministries we can reinforce.

Our Fall Zone and Region rallies will be held in October and November, and I encourage you to attend not only your own but consider attending another one nearby. The speakers and the Bible Studies are excellent. You will also receive the fall packets with lots of information and forms to complete and return. Our LWML national convention will be June 26-29, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Delegates from each Zone will be chosen at the fall rallies. Make plans to attend!

We are looking for ladies to serve in several positions in the LWML Minnesota North District. We have vacancies for Regional Vice Presidents for Arrowhead II and Lakeland II and a member of the Communication Committee. Please prayerfully consider any of these positions and any Zone or Group positions that may be open. We need leaders so that the LWML Minnesota North District may continue to function properly.
